Wow...Taedon is two.  How is that possible already?  He has started really talking and even has a joke he tells as we eat.

Taedon:  "look" (as he points into the kitchen)
Me:  (I turn and look)
Taedon:  "a kitchen!!"
Both of us:  "hahahaha"

So we have now expanded the joke to other items such as lights, trees, table etc... and crack up every time.

For Taedon's 2nd birthday we took him to the aquarium in Baltimore since he is very into fish.  He had a great time.  I even made him a fun cake to match.

Well good morning birthday boy!!

Taking in the gifts and balloons while trying out his new couch.

Bowling!

He started soccer and the first practice was on his birthday.  He LOVES to go and has learned a lot so far.  They don't actually play as much as just learn skills and kick the ball.

At the aquarium.  He loved all of the fish.

Cake!  He actually blew out his candle and ate some of the cake.  Fun fact about Taedon...he really doesn't like sweets.  We always offer him cookies and things be he always shakes his head and says no.  But I guess he realized how long it took me to make it so he indulged for his special day.

For the grand finale on his birthday weekend we gave him much overdue, very needed first hair cut.  We had planned to take him somewhere to get it done but in the end, I just did it.  I swear he aged two more years after I cut off a few inches.

Much to my surprise we had one very warm day at the end of April so we got out the water table and I bought some ice cream and cones.  Even more to my surprise, he LOVED his ice cream cone.

Like usual, I am playing catch up on posts.  Here are some recent fun from around the house from the past few weeks.

Celebrating Dadd-o's birthday (as Taedon calls him).

Kyan has the most interesting sleep positions.

And another one.  His arms are always all stretched out and sometimes just suspended in the air.

Showing off their new K-state gear that grandpa brought them when he came to visit.

Cheese!

I am attempting to put the high chair away for a few months in between kids.  So far he seems to do really well in his booster seat at the table.

Tummy time!

Doing the Harlem Shake with dad.

Matching pj's

One month old on 2-24-13

My sister and her family came to town so we went to the children's museum in Baltimore to celebrate her daughters first birthday.  It was a hit with both kids.  Many thanks to my sister for taking all of the pictures.

Making "butterflies" fly.

Rearranging the fish in the pond.

They found some new friends.

As usual, Taedon found some blocks that he turned into cars and drove everywhere.

Kyan wanted to join in on the action.

He was shocked at how much fun this place was!  (you might have to click on the picture to enlarge it to see his face)

Enjoying the sand table room.  I wish we had a place to create this room in our house.  It was pretty cool.

Watching big brother get sandy.

Hard at work.

He loved running around in this structure.  It went up three stories tall in the center of the building and made me a nervous wreck of course.

Back at the house attempting to share his toys.  Rylan was hanging on for dear life most times.

She did sneak in a few jumps when he was either sleeping or not looking.  She loved it!

Our best attempt at all three kids in the same picture.

Rylan was obsessed with Kyan's vibrating chair.  Can you really blame her though?  It vibrates and plays music.  I would sit in it too if I could.
