It is our pleasure to introduce you to our newest addition Kyan Jacob.  He came into the world on January 24th, 2013 at 8:14 am weighing 10 lbs 2 oz and 22 inches long.  The doctor was correct in thinking he would be a big baby.  I can only imagine had I gotten to my due date (originally 2-2 then 1-31) how large he would have been.  While waiting around at the hospital that morning we took guesses on size.  Dontae guessed 10 lbs and I guessed 10 lbs 2 oz.  I should have put money on my bet I guess!

Taedon has been wonderful with him wanting to help with everything and always giving him kisses.  He is still a bit rough with him but I'm hopeful that will get better.  He is constantly bringing him toys and always runs to his bed to find him when he wakes up.  So far no signs of jealousy which is good.

For some reason the blog website isn't letting me upload any more pictures so for now this will have to do.  Hope you enjoyed meeting out little (sort of) guy.  We are very happy to have our family complete now!

Hard to believe that in just a couple of weeks, Taedon is going to be a big brother!  The doctor is predicting another big baby (oh joy) so we have been making guesses as to what this one will weigh.  I'm definitely ready to meet him and see what he looks like.  Seeing my feet again will be a nice bonus as well.

We had a great Christmas close to home.  Taedon was so much fun this year opening gifts and saying "woooow" every time I would turn on the lights on the tree.  Such a fun age.  He was very good at opening gifts but made us laugh because every time he ripped off some paper, he had to throw that piece in the trash bag before continuing.  To say he got a bit spoiled is an understatement but I can proudly say he has played with each and every gift almost everyday so they are not going to waste by any means.  Helps this tired mom out when I need a few minutes to think.

Hoping we get some snow soon so we can try this out!  We have been teased a few times over the past few weeks but so far, nothing has stuck enough.

He sure does love to drive trucks.  If one isn't handy, he will improvise with the closest item.  So far he has used remote controls, legos, my computer mouse...just about anything that can be driven around.

Niko got his annual giant candy cane rawhide that he just loves.  He has been faithfully working on it a little everyday since Christmas.

The Henry's 2012

Taedon has had a lot to say lately.  It's like he woke up one morning and realized he had a voice and now babbles nonstop!  He loves to tell stories about who knows what and is very animated with his hands while he talks.  He really enjoyed Thanksgiving since we hosted about 15 people.  He talked to everyone all day long!  As you can see, he was still a bit wired after everyone left that evening so he decided to check out the black Friday ads to see if there was anything he should venture out to purchase.  We ended up purchasing a new refrigerator so I appreciated his research!

The day after Thanksgiving we still had the baby gates to the dining room down (he is not allowed in that room because he tends to play in the dog's water bowl and rearrange my china cabinet) and after me searching for him for quite awhile, I finally found him here.  He had found the perfect privacy place to do his business!  He of course had to explain to me why he was hiding there.  I'm assuming his explanation was good and that he wanted me to go away but feel free to interpret for yourself.

Here he is telling me about his nap and why he loves to spend time in his crib.  I am hoping that he doesn't figure out how to escape anytime soon.

We took our first overnight trip away from Taedon a few weeks ago to attend the annual Army Navy game in Philadelphia.  We had a great time and they won!  Thankfully the weather cooperated and it was a very nice day.
